Anna Marcella (lead vocals & keys), Alejandro Bonatto (synth), Eduardo Leal (bass & backing vocals) and Curtis ElVidge (electronic and acoustic drums) shape the line-up of the electronic-dreampop newcomers band, Sykoya.
It doesn't take long before one realizes that 'Closer', their debut single, has elements in common with the last Warpaint sounds, but in this case without guitars. The two types of drums and synth introduce the sweet voice of Anna, and it's not until Eduardo joins the track with his voice and bass, when he opens the door to all members to create the spatial climate reinforced thanks to the reverberation. The nice end is Anna in all her glory playing and singing and away from everything.
The London based four-piece will be releasing their debut EP, "Here", in early 2016, and as they promise, featuring five tracks of haunting vocals laid on top of rhythmic electronics and melodic synths.
